Ark Wrought Ironwork Ltd was founded and has been run by the Keates family since 1992.  Arthur Keates, the Director and main fabricator, learnt his trade as an apprentice blacksmith/fabricator in Wales. Ark Wrought Ironwork has now grown into one of the leading gate, railing and bespoke ironwork manufacturers in Berkshire.

All our bespoke ironwork which include driveway gates, side gates, sliding gates, all can be manual or automated, wall railings, perimeter railings, balconies, Juliet balconies and much more are manufactured at our workshop in Langley Berkshire.

We do not sub-contract any areas of our work thus making sure our quality is not compromised.

In 1998 we saw an increase in the demand for electric gates as people wished to improve security at their homes, so we decided to enter the gate automation market.

The first step was to start a training regime to familiarise our staff on the products available. The training remains ongoing as new products become available and technology improves.

Ark Wrought Ironwork offer a complete service from DESIGN to MANUFACTURE to INSTALLATION, so not only do we manufacture the gates, but we also carry out the groundwork and installation of all cables required.

We are also fully qualified to connect the power supply to current 17th edition and Part P regulations, so the customer has only one company to deal with to complete the project.  This service helps us stay in front of our competitors.

We also provide in-house computer aided design for all our electric gate and other ironwork projects.

We can provide professional, computer drawings for use in planning applications. We pride ourselves on our commitment to give the customer exactly want they want.  We involve them every step of the way. We are proud of the fact that we offer a total personal service in every aspect of our work. Even the free quotation will be carried out by one of the people actually involved in the manufacturing and installation process.
